  • Overview

    The Communications Engineer will monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, and evaluate hardware, software, and other network related problems.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Translate business requirements into telecommunications (e.g., LAN, CAN, WAN, Voice and Video) requirements, designs, and orders.
    • Perform in-depth engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives for Government agencies.
    • Coordinate Telecommunications services to support installations and maintenance.
    • Resolve problems to include performance and configuration. 
    • Monitor, track, and evaluate global Information Technology Infrastructure incidents and/or network control.

    • Coordinate with all responsible users and sites to resolve network or system incidents. 
    • Perform general LAN/CAN/WAN administration.
    • Schedule conversions and cutovers.

    Qualifications

    • U.S. Citizen with an active Top Seceret clearance w/ Full Scope and the ability to maintain this level clearance.  
    • 10 years of telecommunications engineering experience, working on contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
    • Master’s degree in an engineering related field from an accredited college or university; or a Bachelor’s degree and an additional four (4) years of experience.
    • Critical thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
