    The Director, Government Business Development will direct and lead Government business development activities with a focus on complex solutions for various Government organizations, including: DTS-PO, FBI, NGA, NATO, and Prime Contractors in concert with objectives of the Company’s Business Plan by developing new customers and opportunities in the marketplace.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct knowledge management of targeted Government agencies' communications process, procedures, requirements, and associated technologies
    • Build and manage pipeline of opportunities regarding Government engineering services, resulting in closing opportunities
    • Identify and put “offensive pursuit focus” on list of major programs / opportunities
    • Capitalize on relationships to build revenue-producing opportunities
    • Make recommendations regarding which opportunities make business sense
    • Prepare and deliver presentations for prospects/customers
    • Provide proposal coordination/writing/strategy inputs
    • Support the development of the corporate government business strategy
    • Support marketing and business groups in their efforts as they relate to the market
    • Identify and analyze market trends and their impact on the business
    • Gain the cooperation of technical experts and specialists on advanced designs
    • Identify process improvement opportunities, as appropriate 

       

       

    Qualifications

    • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government issued Top Secret security clearance
    • 7+ years’ experience in a U.S. government communications contracting area, with progressive responsibilty in sales, marketing, and business development
    • Bachelor’s Degree in business or technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Experience working in a performance-based environment
    • Demonstrated professional stability and commitment, as well as the ability to initiate, maintain, and sustain successful long-term relationships with clients
    • Solid track record with successful sales, marketing, and business development
    • Extensive decision maker contact list within U.S. Government organizations
    • Demonstrated interpersonal/communication (verbal and written) skills
    • Polished and articulate verbal communications and platform skills and ability to make high-level presentations
    • Professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude
    • Working knowledge of MS Office and CRM database management software
    • Ability and willingness to travel to non-hazardous locations both domestic and international, up to 25-50%

     Valued but not required skills and experience:

    • MBA
    • Multi-lingual
    • Engineering background
    • Ex-DoD Communicator or similar background
