The Teleport Operations Center (TOC) Technician is responsible for Level 2 troubleshooting of teleport and remote satellite equipment, adding/transitioning new circuits, and performing maintenance routines in a 24 x 7 environment.


  • Assist in the analysis, planning, development, testing, and implementation of new services and equipment.
  • Configure, maintain, and operate HPAs, LNAs, switching systems, BUCs, BDCs, Up/Down-converters, LNBs, ACUs, modems, and IRDs.
  • Assist both field technicians and customers in troubleshooting remote end equipment.
  • Update documentation, teleport plots, and trouble tickets as required.
  • Work with our vendors to coordinate, follow-up and document equipment in need of repair.


  • U.S. Citizen with an active U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance and the ability to maintain this clearance.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a 24 x 7 scheduled environment, which includes working night-shift, weekends, and holidays.
  • Associates Degree in an engineering or telecommunications based program, plus at least 4 years of experience in a related industry and position; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with M&C Systems and the ability to configure equipment to run on these systems.
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • Ability and willingness to travel less than 10%.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor, all-weather conditions. 
  • Experience with iDirect and Vipersat networks preferred.
